INDORE: The park in the MY hospital premises, has turned into a breeding ground for pigs and stray dogs. Despite several complaints by visitors and patients, hospital authorities are not paying no heed.
"This is no park," said homemaker Geeta Singh, who had no other option but to spend time with pigs and dogs lamenting that the condition of the park speaks volumes of neglect on the part of the hospital authorities.
She feared outbreak of disease if proper timely action was not taken.
For another visitor, Shruti Shekhawat standing outside the hospital is torturous. She says, "There are pigs and stray dogs all over."
"Hospital is a place that ensures proper health and hygiene, but at MY Hospital it's the other way round," says Neeta Hora adding that the pigs are carriers of various types of germs that could give rise to contagious diseases. She appelaed visitors to maintain hygiene and cleanliness. while hospital must ensure that its premises is kept clean by placing dustbins at various places.
When contacted MY Hospital superintendent, Dr P S Thakur, he says, "It is the responsibility of the corporation."
On the other hand, IMC commissioner, Rakesh Singh, who was not aware of the budget and staff which is fixed for the cleanliness of the hospital and the park said, "We will surely look into the matter. But I am not sure about the actual staff which is being deployed to look after the parks cleanliness."
